The Eclipse has risen. Darkness has swallowed the Empire and is coming for your outpost next! You and your teammates must gather resources, light the arcane beacons, and attempt to survive. But beware! The Shadows that attack your outpost are not the only threat. Darkness may have invaded the mind of a teammate, and you can no longer trust them.
Can you hold this last bastion of humanity together and banish the Eclipse? This is a Den of Wolves inspired Megagame with gameplay tweaks and a new setting.
This special MomoCon specific storyline is available to play on Saturday. The players are students at an anime high school, each a member of one of the school clubs. As they were preparing to go to the school festival to compete with the other clubs their school was sucked into a liminal realm... because long ago their school was the site of a great battle where the Lord of Darkness was locked away, but those protections have weakened and the students must band together to prevent the evil from escaping.
This is a Den of Wolves inspired Megagame with gameplay tweaks and a new setting.

MegaGames are huge games with a bit of everything - role playing, combat mechanics, tech trees, bluffing, negotiation - but unlike most games they’re mostly driven by you, the player. The umpires, called the “Control Team,” will be on hand to answer questions and come up with rulings your creativity inspires. While you have agendas and goals laid out for you, megagames allow players to invent their own win conditions and pursue those as well.
What Kind of Megagame is it?
Touched by Darkness is a megagame with lighter board game mechanics and prominent elements of negotiation and roleplaying in an anime, dark fantasy world.
You don't need any previous megagame experience to play this game. There are umpires called Control who will help you on the day so you can focus on having fun with the other players.
In terms of roleplay vs mechanics this is very much up to you as a player. This means that the problems you face can be handled through the game mechanics (using your crew to operate your ship) or through roleplay (talking to other players). No roles are more or less mechanical, and your personal playstyle will influence how you play the game on the day!
Event specifics
For this run, we're aiming on having a maximum player count of 43 players. The game will run for approximately 6 hours with plenty of breaks. You are welcome to sign up as groups and we’ll do our best to ensure friends play in the same team (a maximum of 5 players on a ship). If you buy a ticket, please do your best to attend or find someone to go in your place. Having players no-show makes things very difficult for game organizers.

Although there will be no explicit references to adult themes, there is a level of maturity required to understand the concepts and interact with other Adults for the long period of time. Due to these factors, the the minimum age requirement is 16.
